About me

I am a fully qualified and experienced Integrative Psychotherapist (M.Sc.) and Psychodynamic Counsellor (Pg. Dip) and offer private online counselling and psychotherapy to individuals presenting a different range of issues in a very safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment. I have many/several years' experience in working with a wide range of client issues, such as addiction, depression, anxiety, anger, loneliness and isolation, relationship and sexual issues, self-harm & trauma. I am very passionate about what I do and am truly committed to supporting and guiding all my clients through their therapeutic journey of self-discovery and development of a better relationship with themselves and others.

To me, effective therapy is not about diagnosis and certainly not about a cure. My counselling approach aims to support you in discovering and making the meaning of your experiences and your felt sense of self, as well as becoming even more aware of your beliefs and understanding how they can shape your emotions, actions and experiences in life.

My therapeutic approach is “multi-dimensional integrative” which means that I creatively use different theoretical techniques, ranging from psychodynamic to humanistic and existential, depending on the emotional issues presented, client desires and a number of sessions agreed.

Please view my personal website https://psychotherapytransforms.com  which reflects my profound belief that counselling and psychotherapy can truly offer a very “transformative” experience by supporting you to embrace your suffering, unravel mystery and discover more fulfilling ways of being with yourself and others. You don't need to be alone and I would be most happy to accompany you on this journey!

Thank you for reading the above and your interest!

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

UKCP

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

One of my fields of interest and expertise is working with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, non-binary clients to help them to come to terms with their gender identity-sexual orientation and a wide range of mental health issues.

I have a deep understanding of their struggles, challenges, dilemmas and have been helping them with following presentations: sex, drugs and alcohol addictions, sexual dysfunctions, social exclusion, same sex relationship problems, HIV and stigma related issues, discrimination, abuse, bullying associated with sexual orientation, gender dysphoria and transition, as well as the struggle to come out or emerge as non-binary.

I also supported clients facing kink, polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships.

The safety of our relationship will hopefully give you the sense of safety to explore these issues and to find the inner strength to bring your real self into the world.
