Daniela Ohiaeriaku MBACP
I am in my forties, married and live with my family in Swindon since 2005.
Before, I lived in Germany where I was born. Throughout my life, beginning as a young adult, I have been working with people of all ages. In recent years I have gained a lot experience with people from various nationalities and cultures. I myself live in a cross-cultural marriage since 1999.
I have always wanted to be someone coming alongside people. I felt that being trained to help others to bring about positive change and enhance their well-being would be one main purpose of my life. But I also had to grow into that. Counselling has helped me a long way to become the person I believe I was meant to be.
How can I help?
Counselling, to me, is the art of being with people and supporting them on their journey to greater balance in life.
I believe every person deserves to live the life there were made for and find joy in it!
I am able to offer you:
and vast experience of being with people.
During sessions with me you will have a safe place to express your truth, whatever it may be. I will be fully present and listen deeply to help you clear some rubble that blocks the access to your soul.
Together we will reinforce your souls own healing resources.
The human soul doesn't want to be advised or fixed; it simply wants to be seen and heard and feel connected. From there it will recover....if we are patient enough.
The core of my counselling approach is person centred. That means that you are choosing what to share and to work on. I am also trained in integrative counselling which means that I am able to draw on several types of counselling and tailor them to meet your needs.
I am passionate about listening to people’s 'unique heartbeat'. I will not judge you or look down on you! I want to offer you space and acceptance and a secure environment to explore positive change.
What to expect
We will be meeting in a place where nobody will disturb us, as the time is yours which means you can choose what to share or not.
I will give my very best to understand how life feels 'in your shoes'. Sometimes only that is already very relieving, healing and encouraging. At other times I might reflect back to you what I am hearing and understanding so that you can maybe get a different look at it.
I am not afraid of emotions. During your time with me you don't have to pretend or cope! We will face your feelings together and try to understand what message they might carry. It could be that I can support you with some information or a creative exercise that might be particularly helpful for your situation.

I offer an initial session to help you make an informed decision whether you feel we can work together towards positive change.
In that first session you can share your 'story' and we can get to know each other.
After that I am happy to offer short term (6-12 sessions) or long term counselling.
I am charging £30 for any one hour session.
Gerne biete ich auch therapeutische Seelsorge in deutsch an.
(I am more than happy to provide counselling in German language)
