About me

I am a BACP Accredited Therapeutic Counsellor. I offer both short and long-term counselling at London Bridge, and via Skype.

I aim to provide a safe space for you to explore your feelings or experiences, gain insight and understanding, and find your own way forward. We will work at a pace and depth that suits you.

Over several years I have worked with clients across a spectrum of backgrounds, ages, and identities, with an equally diverse range of issues and concerns. Each client is unique, and the relationship and approach needs to be unique as well.

Training, qualifications & experience

Qualifications and Training

  • MA (Hons) Psychology (The University of Edinburgh)
  • MSc Therapeutic Counselling (The University of Greenwich)

As part of my commitment to continuing professional development, I have completed courses including: Motivational Interviewing; Group Work; Training; Race Equality and Mental Health; Suicide Prevention; Trans* Awareness; Mindfulness for Clinicians; and Personality Disorder Awareness.

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor - this means that my practice has been deemed by the BACP to meet their "higher standard as a competent, ethical and independent practitioner".

I am a Trainer and Accredited Therapeutic Counsellor based in London, with over ten years’ experience in both client-facing and management roles in mental health provision, equalities and health promotion.

My past roles include support and guidance, group work and intercultural learning, people and project management, and developing services based on the recovery model and person-centred principles. As well as my private counselling and training practice, I also work with students with mental health conditions in Higher Education.

Research evidence suggests that a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is essential to effective therapy – therefore I can offer a free half-hour telephone consultation, for you to decide whether you would like to meet with me. I will then invite you for a longer assessment session to explore your situation in more depth.

Usual appointment price is £50 per session (a limited number of discounted spaces available for low income or students).
