About me

Looking for counselling support can be overwhelming, but finding the right counsellor is crucial to your happiness and well-being. At times, we all struggle with life's challenges and obstacles, but with the right support, it is possible to overcome them and reach our full potential. The counselling process is not about being told what you need to do, it is about uncovering your own inner resources and rediscovering who you truly are.

I offer confidential online and telephone counselling services, utilising a warm, non-directive, and non-judgmental approach to create a positive and friendly counselling experience. Through appropriate challenges, I hope to help you learn more about yourself and build trust in your own abilities.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their Ethical Framework to ensure best practices in my work. I am continuously improving my skills through regular professional development training, covering a wide range of issues such as young people, mindfulness, addiction, anger management, anxiety, autism, bereavement, coping skills, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, self-esteem, spirituality, stress, ADHD, and mental health.

I am committed to personal growth, both professionally and personally, and I have my own counsellor for regular supervision of my professional practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

As a highly qualified and registered counsellor and psychotherapist, I bring a wealth of experience in assisting individuals like yourself to navigate life's challenges and enhance their well-being. My academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree with Honours and a Level 4 & 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy, complemented by comprehensive training through the CPCAB. This solid foundation ensures my proficiency in delivering effective, evidence-based counselling services.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in Person-Centred counselling, emphasising the importance of understanding your unique needs and collaboratively developing a bespoke treatment plan. My practice is firmly aligned with the Ethical Framework for Counsellors as outlined by the BACP. Additionally, I maintain professional indemnity insurance and a current DBS certificate, assuring you of a safe and professional environment.

My experience spans private practice and agency settings, underlining my commitment to continuous professional development. I actively participate in training courses to refine my skills and expand my knowledge, enabling me to offer superior support to my clients.

If you are poised to embark on a journey towards improved mental health and well-being, I warmly invite you to schedule a session. Together, we will strive towards your objectives, facilitating your path to achieving your utmost potential.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
