About me

*Limited Availability: 8am or 10am on Monday’s available* Hi I’m Dan, I am an accredited BABCP Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with over 14 years experience. I am also qualified in EMDR and have additional training in Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Compassion focused therapy and Mindfulness. I specialise in working with clients struggling with Anxiety and Low Mood. In particular, Trauma, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic attacks and Autism.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and evidence-based. I have worked with hundreds of clients with symptoms of anxiety and low mood and have helped them achieve their goals.

I am also an experienced Clinical supervisor and have supervised many Trainee and Qualified CBT therapists. Outside of my private practice I currently supervise a number of CBT practitioners in their clinical practice.

Our sessions will be split into 3 phases; The What, The Why and The How:

The What - this first phase is the assessment phase. During this stage of treatment we gather an understanding about some of the symptoms which are having the biggest impact for you. We also begin to gather a picture of you and your experiences.

The Why - the second phase is The Why. This is where we map out the reasons you may be feeling the way you do. We also begin to discuss what may be maintaining your symptoms and the vicious cycle.

The How - The final stage of treatment looks at ways/skills in which we can break this cycle. During this stage we will be looking at ways in which you can modify how you think or behave to positive impact on your feelings.

Number of sessions - Each person’s treatment is invidualised, however at the beginning of the sessions we will discuss your goals and treatment length. On average sessions can range between 8-20 sessions.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch or book a free consultation.
