Daniel Jones - MBACP Dip. TA Couns. Dip. TA Practice

About me

Hello and welcome my name is Daniel, I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor offering counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples and groups. My practice is located in the village of Kegworth just off junction 24 of the M1. The location is safe and convenient with good transport links and off road parking.

I work with both adults and young people and offer short, medium and long term therapy dependant on the needs of the individual. My main model of practice is Transactional Analysis and my work is strongly influenced by theories of attachment and human development.

I work with people who are experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. This includes and not limited too:

  • Relationship / Attachment difficulties
  • Anxiety / Depression
  • Bereavement / Grief
  • Childhood Abuse / Trauma
  • Stress / Work related issues
  • Self Esteem / Confidence issues
  • Self-harming behaviours
  • Identity & Self Image issues
  • Addictions

I work with integrity and place high value on the potency of the therapeutic relationship. I work in an inclusive and non-judgemental manner and have deep interest in each individual person's uniqueness in how they relate with themselves, others and the world.

My approach to my work is underpinned by a true belief in the potential for each individual to find the needed resources for personal growth within themselves. My role i see is to support you in reclaiming these vital resources and sitting alongside you as you start to make use of them in ways that bring the changes you want to make.

I will encourage personal responsibility along the journey for your own self-care, learning and development and the therapeutic relationship will be the container providing the necessary safety, boundaries and structure to facilitate your growth.

I will encourage and model authentic relating during our sessions establishing a safe space where open and genuine conversations can take place. The permission here is that your thoughts, feelings and behaviours will be individual to you and that the difference you bring can be heard, validated and processed in an authentic OK manner.

There is full permission for you to contact me with any questions you may have. Please leave me a voice mail if i am unable to take your call and i i'll respond to you as soon as possible. I monitor my email daily and will respond generally the same day.

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
