Danny Cottrell - BSc., Dip.Couns., MBACP.
I'm an experienced counsellor with over 12 years in professional practice. I've worked both privately and as a senior practitioner, supervisor and regional manager for a national organisation.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of helping people with issues such as bereavement, depression, anxiety, relationships, stress, meaning, purpose, problems at work, identity and so on.
Although I have a wide knowledge of models and styles, I am grounded in the Person-Centred approach. This means that I believe we all, if provided with the right environment, can grow and develop, finding solutions and directions which are meaningful to us as individuals.
I'm honest, down-to-earth and straight-forward. I previously worked as a professional musician, before retraining as a counsellor in my early thirties. I enjoy running, playing the drums and reading. I live in Stockport and have 3 children.
If you feel ready to talk to someone who is experienced, dedicated and professional, please get in touch. It is usually helpful to arrange a phone call where we can discuss whether I can help and, if so, to arrange a face-to-face session.
