About me
Welcome to my profile. I am a CBT therapist with over 10 years of experience working in mental health across the private, public and charity sectors. I am currently working with adults on a wide range of emotional and psychological issues. Along with my private practice, I am currently working for the NHS in primary care, providing talking therapies and have done so for over eight years. In this position, I am also a qualified supervisor for both qualified and trained CBT therapists and a supervising research therapist.
In my therapy, I provide a safe and confidential space to explore the problems you are experiencing. I am committed to you and understanding what you are struggling with, using a solution-focused person-centred approach. I want to help you realise your therapeutic goals using CBT. I want to help you reconnect with hope and to break the unhelpful cycles of thoughts, behaviours and emotions you are experiencing, and do this by focusing on your strengths or reconnecting with them.
Our therapeutic work will aim to help improve your relationship with yourself, firstly, and then take that understanding forward to improve how you relate to your world and your future. I'm genuinely excited about the prospect of helping you move towards your goals and to realise them with CBT.
While working with a wide range of anxiety and depressed states, I have a particular interest in PTSD, OCD and self-esteem related issues.
