About me

Are you feeling unhappy or discontented?  Perhaps you are experiencing difficulties in your relationship, struggling with anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed?  If you would like some help understanding the way you feel and bring balance into your life, please contact me.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling Professionals and experienced working with adults, young people and couples.

Asking for help can be a difficult step.  We live in a complex, busy changing world. There are many different types of experiences that may be difficult to cope with in this fragmented society. Most of the time we get on with life but sometimes we are stopped in our tracks. Feeling overwhelmed can affect personal relationships, health, well being and quality of life.

Would you like to feel a shift? Sometimes the cause of the pain is clear and often may not be.  I can help you make sense of what you are experiencing, offering you an opportunity to be heard and understood in a calm, confidential space. You may be experiencing:

depression                                                                                                                anxiety                                                                                                            relationship difficulties                                                                                                    stress                                                                                                                            lack of fulfilment at work                                                                                              a recent trauma or bereavement.

So what happens next?

If any of this resonates with you, just send me an email or leave me an answer phone message and I will contact you to arrange an initial appointment.  We will have an hour to explore the issues that have brought you to counselling and whether counselling feels right for you.

Once we have agreed to work together, we can decide on a convenient regular time to meet for ongoing sessions and discuss further when we meet in relation to your needs.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
