About me

Hello, I'm Craig Doyley, a dedicated person-centred counsellor and shamanic healer committed to fostering a safe, empathetic, and spiritual space for individuals seeking support and guidance. My practice combines traditional counselling with holistic healing to support your unique journey toward self-discovery, personal growth, and well-being.

As a male counsellor, I understand the importance of providing a nurturing environment where individuals feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and emotions freely. I proudly support the LGBTQ+ community as a gay counsellor, offering a perspective shaped by personal experience and understanding.

My counselling style is rooted in person-centred therapy principles: empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness. I believe each person has an innate capacity for growth and self-understanding. Through active listening and non-judgmental support, I empower individuals to explore their feelings, thoughts, and concerns at their own pace, fostering self-awareness and inner growth.

In addition to my counselling work, I offer Shamanic Healing sessions. This spiritual approach draws on ancient traditions to restore balance, align energy, and promote holistic healing. My background in spiritualism enables me to respect and integrate spiritual aspects into the healing process, recognising their significance in your journey.

What sets me apart is my commitment to "be the difference to be different." I challenge conventional norms, tailoring each experience to encourage clients to embrace their authentic selves and uncover their inner potential in a supportive, affirming space.

Taking that first step can be daunting, but my goal is to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where you can feel safe and open. Together, we can navigate challenges, promote self-discovery, and work towards positive, meaningful change.

I look forward to supporting you on this journey. For more details on my approach, including Shamanic Healing, please visit my website.

Warm regards,
Craig

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
