Counselling Issues Direct
We are Counselling Issues Direct and we provide confidential counselling in East London (Newham). We have been established since 2005 and provide counselling for many different issues. We are a BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) registered organisation and follow BACP ethical practice and guidelines to ensure a high and professional service and standard. We have a number of counsellors and do not have a waiting list.
Why should our clients choose you?
Our client should choose us because:
- We have a number of counsellors (that bring their own expertise and life experience).
- We have no waiting list.
- We have affordable prices.
- We have been established for many years and have a good understanding of our clients needs.
- We are based in a Community Centre and can be reached by train and bus.
- We have had positive feedback from clients who feel the counselling has made a big difference to their lives.
Our aim is to provide counselling to all members of the community at an affordable rate. We understand the importance of human development and growth and how everyday issues can affect us and take their toll, therefore we would like to work with people to improve their quality of life and to support people to reach their full potential and goals.
We provide 12 weeks of counselling and this is reviewed after 12 weeks and can also be extended for a long term plan. Each session lasts for 50 minutes and will take place once a week. If you are unable to attend after booking we require a 24 hour notification of cancellation or you may be charged for this session.
We currently have no waiting list and aim to allocate counsellors as soon as possible to provide the fastest service. In order to maintain a high standard we also encourage feedback from you about the service, the counsellor and how we can improve.
Counselling Issues Direct prioritises confidentiality and this is a very important part of our service. All counselling sessions are confidential and are not shared with anyone else, this gives you an open and safe space to discuss any issues without feeling judged or concerned about other people.
The rare exception to confidentiality can be if you are in danger of self-harm or harm to others. Your counsellor then has a duty to share this information with their Supervision. This will be discussed with you first to ensure you are made aware. The Supervisor will also contact you to discuss this further. This is our duty as a BACP registered organisation and we also care for our clients and want to ensure their wellbeing and safety.
If you would like to book an assessment or have any questions, please feel free to contact us 0208 989 5138 or (07939 973 772). You can also text on the mobile number and we will call you back, however if you prefer you can send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Training, qualifications & experience
We adhere by BACP guidelines and polices and also have our own policies in place that we follow to ensure good practice, improved development and professional conduct. We are also registered members of BACP.
We have qualified, unqualified and also accredited counsellors who are in different stages of their careers. All counsellors receive supervision from a fully accredited supervisor and are supported with any issues. Training for each counsellor can vary as each counsellor has their own area of expertise and interest. All counsellors are BACP registered and adhere to the BACP policy and procedures. This ensures a high quality of service and also ensures the counsellors are supported.
