Counselling Connection makes it easier to find the counsellor right for you.
It can be hard to reach out for professional support so Counselling Connection has designed its service with this in mind, hoping you will take that important step towards resolving the issues that trouble you.
We are a small team of qualified therapists trained in person-centred theory. We believe that in the right psychological environment you are able to heal and find the answers that are right for you. Because we are individuals, the way we work may differ but our goal is the same: to support you on your journey. If you don't "click" with the first counsellor you see, you are encouraged to meet with another member of our team so that you don't have to go back to square one in your search for a counsellor.
You would be right to expect complete confidentiality with a counselling service such as ours but, because we are located away from the main towns and residential areas of Cornwall in a modern office building, you are afforded an extra level of discretion and privacy.
Training, qualifications & experience
We have experience in areas such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, interpersonal relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, domestic violence, sexual abuse, drugs and alcohol, addictions, self-harm, anger management, bereavement and loss, bullying, familly issues, phobias, loneliness, sexuality, spirituallity and suicidal thoughts.
We are committed to the continued professional development of all our counsellors and currently have specific training in sexual abuse, domestic violence, suicide prevention, safeguarding, child protection. We can work with clients who may want to understand and/or change a specific behaviour/thought using Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). One of our team is qualified as a life coach.
We have experience of working with people of all ages, gender and sexual orientations, ethnicities and disabilites.
We offer face-to-face and telephone counselling sessions.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
