About me

Sometimes we can find ourselves in a place where we 'can't see the wood for the trees'. We feel as if we have little or no control over ours or others behaviour. That the direction our life is taking us is going the wrong way. Accompanying this here can often be a sense of loss or injustice, of not being able to imagine a better future. With up to date psychological understanding there is a better future. Building on your own knowledge and resources we can identify your personal goals and what you want to achieve from the appointments. This tailored approach will work with you to resolve barriers and move you towards your goals.

Training, qualifications & experience

For over 10years working at the front line of NHS mental health care, I bring a thorough breadth of knowledge and understanding to my private practice as a Human Givens Therapist.

Working with Veterans and others who have suffered significant trauma has given me the knowledge and experience to work successfully with symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as well as other more common presentations such as depression and anxiety.

Tailoring my skills and providing useful information I will work with you at your pace, over minimal number of sessions to bring positive resolution to your situation.

Perhaps the best summary, with agreed permission, is from Martin who said, 'It's almost as if I can't remember what it was like to be continually feeling some level of anxiety or fear'.

If you feel that I maybe able to be of help to you please do give me a ring and I will be happy to have a chat on how we may progress and what you can expect from working with me.

Further information

Seeing the need for ongoing support following discharge from NHS Services I set up ArtWell Studios. A psychologically informed creative arts organisation that uses art as a vehicle of expression building confidence, rediscovery of skills, resources and social connections. We work closely with statutory and non-statutory organisations within our local Borough who refer to us as well as accepting self referral.
