About me

Hello! Your reason for seeking counselling may be current issues or issues from the past which are still impacting on your life in a negative way. For whatever reason you have decided to start counselling, I offer the space and time for you to become aware of your issues and help you to harness the tools to bring about change. I am non judgemental and open, and all sessions are confidential.

Training, qualifications & experience

Prior to gaining my qualifications as an integrated counsellor, I worked as a listening volunteer with Samaritans. Samaritans is recognised as a direct crisis helpline for suicide and self-harm however, I gained experience of complex issues such as drug and alcohol addiction, depression, anxiety, post natal depression, suicidal thoughts or behaviours, PTSD, complicated grief, childhood neglect and abuse or relationship abuse but as a listening volunteer, being a Samaritan meant I listened to people, but couldn't offer them counselling.

Personally, I decided to seek counselling when I was experiencing a difficult time in my life and I found speaking with someone helped me to explore my problems and gain awareness of what I needed to be able to heal and bring about positive change. This is what I offer you now, a space for you to gain insight into how you can heal in whatever way that works for you.

I work with Cruse Bereavement Care as a Bereavement Counsellor and I also deliver online presentations for Cruse Bereavement Care as well as working as a Bereavement Counsellor. I also work for East Sussex Recovery Program as an Addictions Counsellor at a local community detox agency, counselling to reduce or abstain from drug or alcohol use. and since the start of the pandemic in 2020 I have also been working with Frontline19 a charity set up to support frontline NHS workers affected by Covid-19.

My qualifications are:
Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Advanced Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Certificate in Transactional Analysis TA101
Diploma in Hypnotherapy & Counselling Skills
