About me

My priority as a counsellor is my clients well being at a time when they may be struggling, overwhelmed or finding life confusing and difficult. I am a Humanistic Counsellor and Psychotherapist, offering short or long term counselling and both day and evening sessions in Farnham. I invite you to read my profile to see if i may be the right counsellor for you. I am also happy to answer any questions you may have by phone or email.

Our busy lives can feel overwhelming, leading to anxiety, stress and depression, or you may be facing a crisis or major change such as chronic illness, bereavement, divorce or trauma. Counselling can provide a safe, confidential place for us to explore together your issues and concerns. We will focus on how you live your life, what it is like to be you, explore your patterns of behaviour, inner resources and strengths, in order to help you to develop greater self-awareness which can lead to increased well-being, possibilities for change and empowerment.

As a counsellor i offer a supportive, respectful, caring and confidential environment which encourages self-acceptance and hope for building a happier life. My training allows me to be flexible and adapt to your individual needs as therapy progresses. I will work at a pace which suits you, allowing you the time and space to gain deeper understanding of a particular issue you want to explore.

I have an interest in working with autistic adults, offering a neuroaffirmative approach.

I offer 55 minute sessions and work with adults, Autistic adults, young people aged over 17 and older adults.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
