About me

During the COVID-19 restrictions I am offering telephone/online sessions with a view to moving to face-to-face sessions once it is safe to do so.

I believe counselling can be beneficial for everyone. I love to come alongside clients, journeying side by side as we work together to find relief from the difficulties they're experiencing. You, or a loved one, may be struggling with painful or difficult thoughts, feelings or memories, wanting to change patterns of behaviour or improve relationships, or may simply be feeling unsatisfied with life. I want you to know hope, whatever you're facing and know that you are not alone.

I aim to provide a warm, safe space for you to "Share. Discover. Grow." so that, together, we can work to find your freedom from the things that may be holding you back and preventing you from living a life of true fulfilment.

You are in control of what issues we explore and work on. While I may suggest things that I believe may be helpful to consider, you have the deciding vote. As an integrative counsellor, I use a variety of tools and techniques, based on a spectrum of theories. As such, my work looks different with each client. However, you always have the final say on whether you wish to try a particular intervention.

My service is open to people regardless of their gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, and available to individual young people and adults as well as couples.

I use two privately hired rooms in North Tonbridge, both with free car parking on site. One in TN10, with wheelchair access, has easy access to local buses, or is a 30 minute walk from Tonbridge Train Station. The other, in TN11,  is most easily accessed by car.

I am a committed Christian, but work with people of any or no faith without discriminating or imposing my personal beliefs. My desire is to see all people find a sense of value and purpose as well as a freedom to enjoy life and discover their potential.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a counsellor member of the Association of Christian Counsellors and an accredited member of the National Counselling Society.

I have an Advanced Diploma in Christian Counselling from CWR and attend regular CPD courses on a variety of topics and with different training organisation to further develop my understanding and build my "tool kit" for working with clients.

I worked as a volunteer for a counselling agency for just under 5 years, and have had my own private practice since June 2011.

Initially, I invite any potential clients to a shorter session, usually 40-50 minutes, where we can discuss how we might be able to work together on the things that are troubling you. This session is just £20 and there is no obligation to pursue counselling as a result.

My standard fee for any subsequent 60 minute sessions is £40. We would aim to meet weekly at the same time, initially for 6 sessions, which may be extended as agreed by client and counsellor following a short review.

A limited number of concessionary places are held for those in financial need. Please enquire regarding availability.

Those with a valid Love Local Card are eligible to receive a 10% discount on the above fees.
