About me
Maybe you are anxious about the future, the breakdown or loss of a significant relationship, an illness or a stressful work situation. Maybe you just feel a generalised sense of anxiety, and you are not quite sure why. Whatever the reasons behind our anxiety, it can feel crippling and overwhelming. I know that from my own experience. In counselling we will look at the causes of your anxiety and provide you with strategies to help overcome your anxious thoughts and to process life events that may have contributed to the anxiety. Life does not have to feel stressful and overwhelming. If you would like to build confidence and resilience to face the ups and downs of life, please get in touch. I would love to help you.
I believe that where there is life, there is hope. Given the right help and support, it is possible to heal from the hurts of the past and to find the strength to implement change. My desire is to create a compassionate, non-judgemental and confidential space in which you can talk about your anxiety. Together we can work to bring about positive change.
My background was originally in music, working as a professional singer and singing teacher. Teaching then expanded into therapeutic voicework, working with people whose voices had been damaged by stress and trauma. This work led to a growing interest in the wider field of counselling and psychotherapy. I went on to complete a professional qualification in counselling and psychotherapy and established my own clinical practice in Cheltenham.
I worked as a volunteer with the Samaritans for a number of years and am currently volunteering with a local counselling charity. I am accredited by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and work in accordance with their code of ethics. This includes regular supervision to support my work.

- There is no fixed time period for counselling. We will discuss this as we go along. A minimum of 8 sessions is usually necessary to achieve therapeutic goals
