About me

I am a fully qualified, accredited and experienced counsellor offering long or short term therapy on a weekly basis in Brighton and Hove.

If you are feeling anxious or overwhelmed, sad or lonely then I am here to help you. I am inclusive and practice without judgement.

If you are faced with issues that feel to big to deal with, then do not hesitate to contact me.

I can offer sessions via video call or telephone during these difficult times

As an established and experienced counsellor I have worked with most issues, but I can help clients who are struggling with anxiety and depression. Self esteem, sadness and social issues. Panic attacks, phobias and relationship issues. Helping with negative thoughts and working through traumatic events.

I work psychodynamically - looking at how past experience may be impacting on the challenges that you are facing now. We will work together to break negative behaviours / thought patterns. This can help you to make positive changes in your life.

An initial telephone consultation can help find the right space and time to suit your needs. Then the first session can be used to establish how we can work together and support each individuals needs. I have a relaxed and warm attitude that helps clients to build a positive working relationship with me quickly. I will offer a safe and confidential space.

Along with my private practice I work within University Counselling Services and have a wealth of experience working with young adults.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
