About me

“Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness do we discover the true strength of our light.” – Brené Brown

As a MBACP and MNCPS Accredited counsellor based in Shrewsbury, I offer face-to-face, walk-and-talk, and online therapy to help you navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re feeling disconnected from your emotions, constantly putting others first, or looking to better understand yourself, I’m here to support you. Together, we can explore concerns such as anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, attachment, relationship challenges, family issues, burnout, or the lasting effects of trauma, working at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I provide a safe, confidential space where you can share your thoughts and feelings openly, without fear of judgement. With a person-centred foundation, I incorporate grounding techniques and somatic therapies to promote calm and resilience, adapting my approach to meet your unique needs. My aim is to ensure you feel truly seen, heard, and supported as you take steps towards meaningful and positive change.

Training, qualifications & experience

I focus on supporting individuals feeling overwhelmed by burnout, navigating challenging relationships, or struggling to connect with or process their emotions. I aim to help you rediscover balance, clarity, and a sense of calm in your life.

In addition to my core work, I’m also specifically trained in:

Bereavement and loss
Trauma
Burnout
Low self-esteem and confidence
Attachment

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
