About me

About me as a counsellor.

I am a Person-Centred counsellor, experienced in working with adults, children and young people.

As a client led therapist, I provide a safe and non-judgemental environment where you can explore whatever has prompted you to seek counselling at this point in your life. I passionately believe each client is an individual and will work with you to identify what is needed to move from this point to where you want to be.

I have worked with a range of issues including trauma, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, loss and family breakdowns/relationship issues.

What to expect from Counselling

I understand that taking the first step in seeing a counsellor can be very daunting and so I try to make sure you know what to expect prior to arriving.

When you arrive at the premises there will be a small waiting area where you can make yourself comfortable. As soon as I am able I will meet you in the waiting area and take you into one of the therapy rooms we have on site. The first sessions is always a getting to know you session. I will outline the contract, information on confidentiality and gain a better understanding of your expectations of counselling and what it is that has brought you there. There is no obligation to commit to any number of sessions as each client needs different things.
