Are you are looking for help? Perhaps you are overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, struggling at work or in your relationships. Maybe you are searching for a life of renewed purpose, depth, and sense of meaning. Does the feeling of happiness or contentment simply elude you?
I trained as a creative therapist in the humanistic tradition, I am deeply interested in people and can offer a non-judgemental, containing and warm relationship where we can work together to help you find a more satisfactory way of being in the world.
I have worked in the therapeutic field for many years and believe that the key to improved mental health is through our relationship with ourselves. Exploring feelings, behaviours and expectations, can be deeply fascinating. The result of this kind of enquiry leads to raised self awareness and compassion.
We all have the capacity for change and growth and the therapeutic relationship can be profoundly helpful in enabling us to open up to living more fully and effectively.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at the Institute of Arts in Education and Therapy in London and hold a Diploma and an MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy. I am also a qualified supervisor.
I have extensive experience of working with parents and children. While I am not currently set up to work with young children I can offer support to parents which can have a significant impact on the behaviour of the child.
I am also a qualified supervisor with many years of experience.
As well as private practice I work for Place2Be, delivering training in professional qualifications for counselling children.
I am fully insured to practice and follow the professional ethics of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
I offer the first meeting for the nominal fee of £20, as I believe it is important that we meet face to face to discuss what you feel you need, and decide if we can work together. Subsequent sessions are £60.
