Claire Page MA, MBACP®, CPCAB Diploma, Person-Centred Therapeutic Counsellor.
Claire Page MBACP® - CPCAB Diploma in Person-Centred Therapeutic Counselling.
If you feel anxious, depressed, stressed or simply need someone to talk to, please contact me. I offer a safe, confidential service where we can work together to explore your concerns. I am a registered member of the British Association For Counselling and Psychotherapy and work to their Ethical Framework.
I have experience of working successfully with clients bringing a range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, lack of confidence or low self-esteem, separation and divorce, long-term illness and more. I work with clients of any age and have many years’ experience working with adolescents and young adults.
How I Work
My approach is to work collaboratively with you as my client to support your unique needs. I focus on developing a relationship of trust and offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore your concerns. The relationship between us as client and therapist is the most important factor for a successful outcome. While I do not offer advice nor make decisions for you, together we can find ways to help you achieve a greater sense of personal well-being and resolve problems that you feel unable to cope with alone. Together, we will find an approach that works for you; I draw largely on humanistic principles, having a person-centred way of working and integrate Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness into my work if that feels right for you, as my client. I have a strong belief that, for us all, greater personal awareness leads us to a place where things start to feel better and positive life changes can be made.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have experience of working with people from a range of backgrounds. I have worked in school and university supporting adolescents and young people. I also have experience working with older adults in a charity therapy centre. I have taught counselling skills to counsellors-in-training and to teachers. My work with young people supports them particularly when academic pressures or peer relationships impact their mental health or well-being. My educational background has given me a great deal of life experience, and an understanding of how our childhood experiences impact who we become as adults. I have a strong belief in human resilience and the ability, for all of us, to change and grow.

I keep my practice up-to-date with regular in-service training in CBT, mindfulness and mental health. I work in schools, am DBS checked and have recently refreshed my safeguarding young people training.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
