Claire Evans PgDip, BABCP Accredited Psychotherapist
The Court House
72 Moorland Road
Hello, my name is Claire Evans and I'm a fully qualified and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I have extensive experience working with people with a wide range of difficulties.
I regularly work with individuals who are experiencing issues relating to depression, health anxiety, low self-esteem, work related stress, social anxiety, abuse, anger, trauma, sexuality, bereavement and loss. I also work with individuals or couples who are experiencing relationship difficulties.
I have many years experience in this field and make every effort to help you to feel safe, respected, listened to, and understood. My client outcomes are very positive and satisfaction levels are very high. You can be assured of a professional and confidential service from a specialist CBT therapist. CBT can help you achieve your goals.
If you're suffering with anxiety, depression, or any of the other difficulties I specialise in, CBT will give you the insight and skills to deal with these problems. These are life skills, which help you to become your own therapist.
EMDR therapy and Trauma / PTSD
I am also a fully qualified EMDR therapist. EMDR is a specific psychotherapy used in the treatment of trauma and PTSD. This is an effective and evidence based therapy, recommended by NICE guidelines. It is also useful in treating anxiety and depression, and long-standing attachment difficulties. EMDR is also very useful in treating unresolved grief/bereavement issues.
I appreciate how difficult it can be for some people to make that first step to seek professional help. Why not call or email me so that you can decide for yourself whether you would like us to work together?
Thank you for reading my page and whatever you decide to do I wish you well, Claire.

I have 14 years experience working with Mental health service provision, in a wide variety of settings including the NHS and the private sector.
