Claire Ball (MBACP; BABCP Accred.; MSc; PG Dip CBT)
As a Counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with more than seven years' experience working within a number of therapeutic settings, including primary and tertiary NHS services, Claire offers one-to-one appointments to help adults with a range of difficulties.
Appointments are offered to over 18s on a one-to-one basis in comfortable rooms within a GP practice in Sutton, Cambridgeshire, and now also at The Self Centre, a wellbeing centre on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Appointments are usually 50 minutes long, and offered on a weekly basis, starting with an initial assessment appointment (90 minutes), which offers a chance to meet and make a decision jointly as to whether Claire will be able to help you reach your therapy goals.
The focus of your sessions depend on what you want to get from your therapy. The emphasis will be on helping you to learn methods to help yourself get well and stay well, and there will be no obligation to continue when you feel ready to end therapy.

Each appointment is charged at a rate of £50 per hour. Payment is usually made at the end of each session by cash or cheque. If you prefer to pay for more than one session at a time, courses of sessions can be booked in advance. Assessment sessions last 90 minutes and are charged at £65.
If you are not sure if this type of therapy is right for you, you can book a free 15-minute telephone appointment, where you can discuss what you are looking for help with, and what you would like to get from your therapy. You can also use this appointment to ask Claire any questions you might have about the type of therapy on offer. This discussion could also take place via email, if you prefer.
Free on-site parking available at both locations, and both venues are fully wheel-chair accessible.
