Integrative BACP Registered Therapist (MBACP)

About me

If you are reading this it is likely you are contemplating asking for help, and considering starting a therapy process. This is often the most difficult step…well done!

Maybe you feel stuck. Maybe painful things just keep repeating themselves. Maybe you feel you have to be self-sufficient so much so that you avoid close relationships. Perhaps you feel the opposite…that you can’t survive without a partner or approval. Perhaps you cope by turning to a particular compulsive/addictive behaviour but you’ve started to feel powerless over this. Perhaps there’s a cycle or pattern to your life that you just can’t make sense of, or want to change. Therapy can help with all of these things and much much more.

My intention would be to create a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for us to explore whatever you would like to explore together. I will be driven by you and the goals we set together.

Training, qualifications & experience

Having had my own life-changing experience of therapy, I qualified as a therapist and have subsequently worked in charity, secondary school and in a clinical setting at The Priory.

Aim Awards, Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Practice.

BACP registered (MBACP 374371).

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
