Christine Thomasson MBACP, Dip Integrative Counselling
I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) offering both long and short term counselling from my therapy room in Danbury (near Chelmsford) Essex.
I offer face to face counselling for individuals and couples.
I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship problems, addiction, abuse, trauma and bereavement.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by the challenges you are facing, troubled by painful past experiences or unsure of your future direction, you might find it helpful to talk things through in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
I believe counselling can enable you to come to terms with what you have experienced in life, gain an awareness and clarity within yourself and approach life with a different perspective.
My integrative training means I can draw on a wide range of therapeutic approaches focusing on those which are best suited to you and your situation.
I offer a warm, relaxed and confidential space for you to explore the issues which have brought you to seek support at this time in your life. I base my therapeutic work on building a strong, secure and trusting relationship with my clients, without making any assumption or judgement. Together we can work through your concerns and the changes you wish to make in your life. I can help you explore your difficulties and gain a greater understanding of the underlying causes.
I provide a therapeutic environment with clear boundaries and consistency, allowing you to feel safe and contained, therefore encouraging personal growth and psychological wellbeing.
Working effectively and ethically is important to me. I adhere to the BACP code of ethics and I have monthly clinical supervision. I attend regular training courses and workshops.
I hold a current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service).
I have full professional indemnity & liability insurance
I can offer flexible times for appointments and parking is available.
