Christine Fortune M.Sc.(Int.Psych), UKCP, BACP, BPS.
I am an approachable, experienced Psychotherapist based in a central location in Ealing Broadway W5. I am accredited and registered with both the UKCP and BACP.
If you are experiencing anxiety, relationship issues, depression, are facing a difficult time in your life, have concerns about your well being or mental health, or are feeling sad and want to have a better understanding of yourself, I offer a confidential, safe, non-judgemental space where together we can address your needs.
I have over ten years experience of working with clients from all walks of life, addressing a range of different concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, lack of confidence, relationship concerns, work and family worries, OCD, panic attacks, sadness, phobias, abuse, loneliness, trauma, anger issues, low self esteem, bi-polar disorder, bereavement, menopause concerns and more.
My approach is Integrative, based on working collaboratively with my clients in response to their unique needs and particular circumstances and in doing this I draw on a range of theoretical approaches including humanistic, psychodynamic, CBT, developmental and existential. But, most importantly, I consider that a relationship based on confidentiality, trust and mutual respect is instrumental for a successful outcome to therapy.
Prior to focussing on my private practice I worked in many different settings including the psychotherapy department of a London Teaching Hospital, charitable organisations, local authority services for adolescents and counselling services in secondary and special schools. I also have experience of working within an NHS Mental Health Service.
Before becoming a psychotherapist I worked for many years in the field of education, as a teacher, manager and as an SEN consultant. During this period I also qualified as an Educational Psychologist. My background, in addition to providing me with considerable life experience, has given me an understanding of the impact of early experiences on development, a strong belief in human resilience and the ability, of all of us, to change.
I am based in a central location in Ealing, opposite Ealing Broadway Station, and very close to mainline, underground and bus links. Public car parking is close by. In addition to Ealing, the location is accessible for many areas including Acton, Hounslow, Shepherd's Bush, Chiswick, Southall, Ruislip, Hammersmith, Richmond, Greenford, Hanwell and Brentford.
I offer evening and day time appointments, including Saturdays.
Please contact me by email, text or phone if you would like further informaI am registered as a provider of counselling and psychotherapy for BUPA, AVIVA and CIGNA.
