I understand how difficult it can be to admit that we need help and sometimes even harder to take the initial step to seek counselling. This makes it even more important to chose the right counsellor for you. I offer a confidential initial assessment session, to talk about what is troubling you; should you not feel comfortable with my approach, you under no obligation to continue.
Should you decide to go ahead, I will invite you into a warm, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship where you will have my full attention; I will listen sensitively to your concerns, respect your values, and help you to explore your thoughts for as many weeks as therapeutically appropriate.
When you commit yourself to the therapeutic process, it can help you to gently gain understanding into your way of thinking and often provides fresh insight into its origins. It will help you to make any changes and improve the quality of your overall well-being.
I specialise in relationship and sexual therapy and have worked as a therapist for 13 years, with adults, young people and couples. As you can see from my profile below, I have worked with a range of issues including sexual and relationship difficulties, depression, recovery from sexual and domestic violence, work stress, bereavement etc
