I am a qualified and experienced Integrative psychodynamic counsellor, working with both shorter term and longer term contracts. I provide a safe and confidential setting in which to explore issue/s affecting individuals in order to expand self awareness and alleviate distress.
As an Integrative Psychodynamic therapist, unconscious processes and defences are acknowledged, explored and worked with. I am MBACP(Accred) and receive regular supervision. I am also a practitioner of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy(EMDR)
What you can expect from your first session is an assessment where we can talk about what brings you to therapy, gather some historical content, as well as what you might hope for from therapy. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions.
Counselling session are one-to-one on a weekly basis for 50 minutes. Evening sessions are available.
I have worked within both statutory and charity based organisations, having qualified approximately 17 years. I work with a variety of issues in a respectful, transparent and genuine manner. I look forward to hearing from you.

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
