About me

Would you like someone to talk to who will listen and be there for you? Someone who is not your family, partner or a friend and someone who will be objective and non-judgemental, but at the same time, caring and understanding.

If so, to get started, please call me on: 07784 490434 or email me at: CGooday@outlook.com. I offer a free first session whether face-to-face, by telephone or via zoom.

Experience of working with people in the public and private sectors.

I became a counsellor because I had counselling myself and found it invaluable. I wanted to offer other people the kind of support and help that I had received. My original reason for having counselling was work-related but once I began, it was like 'opening a can of worms'. I found myself exploring all sorts of issues.

My working experience spans both the private and public sector, including working within industry, local government and 20 years in education. At times, it was extremely stressful and challenging. And, like many people, I have gone through a whole range of life experiences such as relationship break-ups and losses.

These things do not make me an expert but I do feel they contribute immensely to my understanding and empathy for others facing difficulties.

I work in a completely individual way with people, because we are all unique. My aim is to help you to help yourself in whatever way that may be.
