About me

I'm Christina and I am a fully trained BACP registered integrative counsellor, which means that I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs. I work with adults over the age of 18.

Whether this is your first experience of counselling or you've sought support before, it can feel daunting. It takes courage to take that first step and reach out for help. But by doing so, you’ve already made a powerful decision to make a change in your life. I will work collaboratively with you to support your personal journey towards growth, healing, and creating positive and lasting change.

I believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship between you and your counsellor. This relationship is unique, unlike any other, and it must feel right.

I offer a free 15-minute phone call where you can share what has led you to seek counselling and this conversation will help you decide if we’re a good fit to work together.

Practice description
You might be seeking counselling to help resolve or heal from past traumas, navigate current challenges, or you might be feeling lost, stuck or overwhelmed and unsure how to move forward in a way that feels right for you. You may have a specific goal from therapy or just need to tell your story to someone who can listen with empathy and without judgment.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard and validated. Together, we'll explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotional patterns, helping you to make connections and gain a deeper understanding of yourself so that you can make meaningful changes in your life.

The first session
In our initial session, you’ll have the opportunity to get to know me a bit, and I’ll explain how the sessions will work. I’ll ask some questions about your personal history, what has brought you to counselling, why now, and, if you’re clear on them, your hopes and goals for therapy.

If you’d like to continue after this first session, we can schedule weekly sessions at a time that suits you. I’ll also ask you to sign a contract outlining how we’ll work together moving forward.

Availability
I offer individual therapy sessions and have availability in-person Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 9am and 3pm. I may be able to accommodate sessions (including online) outside of these times so please get in touch to discuss.

Sessions are available in-person in Walthamstow or Highams Park (£60) or online (£50).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
