About me
I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space where we can reflect upon what is happening for you and why. I am mindful of the huge worth in a one to one connection with another person during a face to face therapy session.
Life stresses can feel overwhelming. With busy lives; children, family, friends, work, emails, social media, it can be hard to find the time and space to think.
I offer a weekly safe space to allow time and freedom for us to work collaboratively and explore what is happening for you, how you are feeling, what you are scared to acknowledge and how you might wish to make changes in your life.
It can be terrifying to have fears and face them alone. However, it is my experience that albeit scary, it can be life changing and hugely rewarding to listen to the little voice inside ourselves which often gets ignored or muted by life.
I have experience of providing therapy working with addiction within the prison system.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold the following qualifications;
- BA (Hons) Degree in Integrative Relational Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Introduction to Psychoanalytic Concepts certificate
- Currently Working towards a Diploma in Dream Analysis
I have been working for a number of years at a NHS medical centre as an in house counsellor where I have worked with and helped a mixed diversity of clients with a variety of life problems. I am a partner at The Practice where I work with clients in the private sector.
I have experience in working within a prison environment, providing support with mental health issues and helping to break the cycle of addiction, offending and custody.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

How I deliver therapy
Face to face and Online. Open ended and time limited. Walk and talk therapy.
My first session
We will have a free telephone conversation to understand what you might be hoping to achieve in counselling, following that we can schedule our first face to face meeting. In our first session together we will have the time and opportunity to see whether we feel suited to work together.
I understand that seeking support can feel very daunting so I take great care in the initial session to explain the counselling process, how we may work together, time frames and explore your expectations and needs,. After this we can schedule a further 6-12 sessions if you have a particular issue you wish to work on or longer open ended work.
I believe trust is central in building a successful therapeutic relationship trust so I provide a warm, empathic, non- judgemental space where we can explore, in complete confidentiality, whatever has led you to counselling.
