About me

Welcome to my psychotherapy and counselling service...I can offer you face-to-face and on-line [Zoom, Skype and FaceTime] sessions in a safe and judgment-free space from my mid-Hampshire practice.

I see you as a unique human beings with distinctive life experiences seeking to make sense of whatever concerns or challenges you bring to therapy. I will work hard to help you reflect upon your mental and physical wellbeing, emotions and relationships to discover better ways to live well.

However tough or uncertain things are now, I believe you can be more self-aware and self-compassionate and create a life for yourself that holds greater meaning and purpose.

This is my hope for, and commitment to, all my clients.

I work within the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapist's (BACP) Ethical Framework......

This means that I adhere to strict confidentiality standards and ethical boundaries - I will not share our discussions or your contact details with anyone.

My services cover....

Psychotherapy and counselling, coaching and mediation for adults, teenagers, partners with relationship difficulties, and student counsellors.

I offer short-term and open-ended therapy, and periodic 'check-ins' - all of which can be face-to-face or on-line.

My current working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Training, qualifications & experience

My qualifications include....

A Master’s degree (distinction) in Integrative / Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling, a Sport Psychology Diploma and Mediation Accreditation. My other relevant training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, child safeguarding, coaching, supervision and NVQs covering learning and behavioural evaluation.

My background and experience....

In the past 10 years I have worked extensively with people struggling with a variety of emotional and mental health difficulties (including anxiety and panic, depression and loss, trauma and low self-esteem) in their working and personal lives. I have helped people make difficult life decisions, reshape the way they live with uncertainty and how they face the realities of their lives.

As a people and management consultant working in the private, public and charity sectors for the past 25 years, I have gained a deep appreciation of the kinds of conflicts and challenges my clients face, both in work and their private lives, and this informs my work as a therapist.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
