About me

My approach as a therapist is to regard my clients as unique individuals. This means that it is important to me that the service I offer is tailored to suit your particular needs. Working with a therapist can take many forms; from a short term exploration of practical psychological strategies, to help with things like symptoms associated with anxiety/depression, relationships problems or life transition. I also work with clients who go on to a more long term commitment, to help them develop their personal growth and psychological well-being. I offer a free of charge initial 20 minute telephone consultation.

Talking therapies have the potential to help people address and understand psychological concerns - which can often surface at times of stress and uncertainty - sometimes in the form of anxiety and depression. Most people find major changes in their life circumstances challenging. Sometimes change can be stressful, and even positive changes can force people to re-evaluate their life. Changes in relationships; coming to terms with loss; unfamiliar life transitions; mental illness; struggling to establish support networks - these can all be factors that might lead people to seek help.'Psychological Well-Being' is a valuable resource and effective professional support and guidance - be it counselling, psychotherapy, CBT or mindfulness - can often help develop a more complete sense of wellbeing and security.
