My name is Cheryl and I am HCPC registered occupational therapist as well as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, fully accredited with the BABCP. I specialise in working with various anxiety problems, low mood and low self esteem difficulties. I have 18 years experience working in mental health and psychological services within the NHS and more lately private practice. I operate from offices in Chorlton Cum Hardy/South Manchester as well as offering appointments by Skype.
I use evidence based approaches to help people move forward with your difficulties. I will offer you a friendly and practical approach to therapy and provide a safe, non- judgmental place for you to talk. My aim is to help you explore and understand what is going on for you, help you establish what you want to change and help you set and focus on realistic challenges which help you move towards the life you really want.
I offer a free-no obligation, half an hour telephone consultation so you can get to know me and we can work out together whether the therapy I offer is likely to help. Should you choose to go forward with therapy, I'll help you develop useful assignments to do between our sessions to help you move forward with things and provide support and guidance via email so you can be sure you stay on track.
I can't promise it'll be easy but I promise you I'll be with you every step of the way. So what have you got to lose? Feel free to send me a message and let me know what you need help with today!
