About me

Hi, I'm Cheryl, professional counsellor practicing in Cirencester, Cheltenham and anywhere in the UK via phone or video calls.

With an Integrative approach, I work in a way that will suit your needs, with you at the heart of the work we do together within a person centered approach. The roots of the way I work are firmly based in empathy, the here and now, honesty and hopefulness. Hope can provide clients with the ability to change and grow as individuals.

Counselling can give you the space to explore your feelings and emotions and help you to find a way through your current situation. By working together, we can examine these thoughts/feelings/emotions exploring different ways to work through them. By having a greater understanding of these feelings and emotions you will be able to make the changes you need.

I provide counselling to individuals in a safe, confidential and non judgmental environment. I work with adults, young people and couples on a long or short term basis depending on your needs. I have experience working with people who are experiencing a range of issues including:

  • Depression and low self esteem
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement & loss
  • Redundancy
  • Relationship issues
  • Traumatic Events
  • Long term illness
  • Work place stress

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
