About me
Do you feel like life’s challenges are too much to handle, or that something needs to shift for you?
Counselling offers a safe and confidential space where you can think freely and creatively about the issues that are affecting your life and relationships. Whether you're dealing with depression, anxiety, or simply feeling stuck in old patterns that are negatively impacting you, counselling can allow you to reflect on your experiences and gain fresh perspective and insight. It’s also a place where you can work through any past issues that may have been overlooked or unresolved, and to address any concerns that are impacting your happiness or peace of mind.
I am curious about people’s stories and the ways we can become stuck in repeating patterns of behaviour. Often, these patterns trace back to early childhood and are connected to the experiences and relationships we had when we were young. I believe that when we share our story in a safe and supportive space, we can begin to foster greater compassion and understanding for every part of who we are.
Together we can explore how you experience life, uncover deeper insights about yourself, and open up new possibilities for change and growth. My aim is to help you find fresh perspectives and creative ways to move forward, empowering you to make choices that align with the direction you want to take.
As an integratively trained Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and CBT, to tailor my work to your unique needs. I view therapy as a holistic process, taking into account not just your thoughts and emotions, but also your physical and spiritual well-being.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have experience working in a variety of sectors, supporting clients from diverse social and cultural backgrounds. I have worked as a counsellor at the One to One Project in King’s Lynn and Cogwheel Counselling in Cambridge.
In addition to my counselling practice, I have a background in business, having run a company for over 15 years, as well as experience in further and higher education, most recently working at a counselling and psychotherapy college. I have also sat on the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) executive committee for the Psychotherapeutic Counselling and Intersubjective Psychotherapy College (PCIPC).
I am a registered member of the UKCP and adhere to their code of ethics, ensuring a professional and ethical standard in all my work.
Qualifications:
- BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling (Matrix College, affiliated with Middlesex University)

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
