Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. Further details can be found on my website; Space For Thoughts Counselling. The first step is the hardest and I hope I can help make this a little easier.
I have been in private practice since 2007. I now practice at North Street Bourne. I have an Art Therapy/ Play Therapy room in Sutterton and a separate area for Talking therapy clients. I offer a variety of approaches but I always consider myself to be friendly, approachable and non-judgemental. I work using Non Directive Play Therapy for younger children and have gained experience of this through training and working with the national charity The Place2be. I offer both Talking Therapy (counselling) and Creative and Expressional Art Therapy to adults, couples, families and groups. This can be especially helpful if you feel very anxious about talking. I have done a lot of work with clients who need CBT and I integrate this with Talking Therapy so that both the behaviours and their cause are considered.
I am a qualified and experienced supervisor and trainer.
I respect that for some people life can be rather busy or they are unable to travel, so I do offer home appointments and Skype sessions for both supervision and clients.
Counselling can feel like a daunting process and I will do everything possible to make your journey more comfortable.

I offer a friendly realistic approach to counselling and therapy. Each client is treated with respect and their therapy is tailored to meet their needs. We are all very individual and what may suit one client will rarely suit another. I will explain and discuss this with you throughout your therapy. Please feel free to call me for an initial introduction.
Supervisee's are offered a free half an hour session to discuss their needs and requirements. This will enable us both time to ensure that we can form a positive working relationship. I support the ongoing growth of all my supervisees'.
