About me
I am a BACP accredited counsellor. For 20 years, I have been helping individuals and couples to work through issues and difficulties which are troubling them.
I currently have a full schedule and am therefore unable to take on new clients at this time.
I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, grief, low self esteem, relationship issues, bereavement, obsessive/compulsive behaviours, general low mood, lack of assertiveness, boundary issues, anger, trauma and depression.
I love and am committed to my work, and I am happy to say that over the years, I have seen very good results.
I began counselling out of a doctor's practice in 2000, and soon established a private practice based near Heathfield in the East Sussex countryside.
I offer individual counselling and relationship counselling (including family relationships and same-sex relationships) and I am now trained and qualified to offer E.M.D.R (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a effective and safe technique for processing trauma and other conditions such as anxiety and grief.
I offer counselling at Horam Natural Therapy Centre and from my comfortable home in the Sussex countryside near Heathfield. I work daytimes and evenings, and home visits can be arranged if needed.
I have three grown-up children and two golden retrievers, and when I'm not counselling I enjoy cycling and walking with family and friends.
Please call me on 01435 830 386 or text me on 077 68 26 11 94 to arrange an initial appointment.

Member organisations
Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
