About me

Life is complex and we could all do with some extra support. The importance of being properly heard, seen and listened to without being judged is what I am trying to provide to a client as a therapist. I aim to offer a space for you where you can try to find your direction again, whatever that direction may be. Somewhere to explore issues and choices available, perhaps from a different viewpoint.

I became interested in therapy when I myself needed somewhere to go to find my inner compass. The support and strength I felt I received and found during counselling sessions made me want to learn more myself about counselling and therapy. My aim and hope as a therapist is to be able to assist others in finding their own way forward, by becoming a facilitator for change. My practice is based on the Person Centred Approach with added knowledge and skills from an Integrative Approach. This means that I try to tailor the work that we do together to your individual and unique requirements.

I work from my private practice in Crouch End and in therapy rooms located in Archway, North London.

In addition, I work as a Counsellor with 14 to 19 year olds in an educational setting.

I have previously practised as a voluntary counsellor seeing adult clients at the Working Men’s College, Mornington Crescent, London and I have gained experience working with young people at Skinner’s Academy, Manor House, London (secondary school) through the charity KidsCo.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
