About me
Taking the step to speak with someone, whether you have done this before or this is your first time, can feel daunting. You're likely here because there's something you're going through at the moment; you've given this a lot of thought, looked at your options and are trying to find someone who you can talk to about all of this.
I offer a confidential, respectful, sensitive space where you can explore what you’re going through and where I would support you in making the changes you want in your life.
Sessions can help you to make sense of what is happening in the present and how this may be influenced by the past. You might explore what messages you received from others, what beliefs you formed, the decisions you made, and the direction things are heading.
You will be talking to someone with experience working with a range of issues, some of which are mentioned below:
- Are you feeling ‘stuck’? Are you unsure why and want to make a change?
- Do you feel you’re always putting other people first?
- Are you dealing with the loss of someone or something important in your life?
- Are you questioning who you are and how things came to be like this?
- Is something that happened in the past still on your mind or affecting you in the present?
- Are you at a turning point in your life: finishing uni, at the start or end of a relationship, or changing job or career?
I provide a safe space that is welcoming of all cultural backgrounds, and of the LGBTQ+ community. It can be helpful to know that you’re speaking to someone who on some level ‘gets it’.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
