Chaitanya Pankhania (BACP, UKCP Reg)
If you're looking for somewhere accessible, I work in Central London, about 8min walk from Euston Station and 4 min walk from Goodge Street station.
What I work with:
It can be difficult approaching a therapist for help with issues you may be going through, but know that taking that first step to get help is good thing for yourself and your future. Whether it is that you are feeling sad, have had a bereavement, have relationship issues or if you have been suffering from anxiety, depression, phobias or other anxiety disorders, getting support is important. These are some of the issues my clients come to me with. The other areas I work with are family issues, abuse, trauma, low self-esteem, stress, addictions plus much more. I like to create a non-judgmental and safe environment for my clients to talk about what they are going through.
I work as an Integrative Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist and therefore I use a variety of methods through training and experience to help bring about change for my clients.
Here's a list of methods I use in therapy:
- Hypnotherapy and NLP (neurolinguistic programming)
- CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy)
- Creative therapies
- Talking therapy
- Gestalt therapy
More than 'just talking'
Talking can help, but because often our issues stem from deep within our subconscious mind, other methods can be more effective in accessing those forgotten parts. I therefore weave into my work hypnotherapy, creativity, visualisations and mindfulness for clients to be able to change patterns on a deeper level.
In order to work with the conscious (thinking) mind, I also use aspects of CBT along with talking therapy to help bring about awareness and change that my clients want.
I offer long term (6 months to on-going) and short term (8-15 sessions) psychotherapy. The duration can be discussed at our initial appointment.
Currently I work with adults and adolescents in Central London, near Euston Station and Goodge street station and Borehamwood (limited availability). I am also employed at UK University providing counselling and therapy to students.
Journey therapy helps heal physical illnesses by resolving emotional trauma. This is extremely helpful with psycho-somatic disorders and can help with physical problems that are unexplained by a medical and biological cause.

More About Me
I have always been very interested in understanding the human mind, since I was young. Following my interests I did my degree in Psychology and further trained as a Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist as I found this way of working very effective in understanding aspects of one's mind and bringing about transformations.
