About me

DURING THE CODIV-19 RESTRICTIONS, I AM WORKING WITH CLIENTS REMOTELY, USING ZOOM/FACETIME AND PHONE.

I am an integrative psychotherapist, which means I use four approaches: psychodynamic, humanistic, existential and transpersonal. This means I can be flexible, adapting the different tools to the client, focussing wherever the growth needs to go and the uniqueness of the clients needs.

As a therapist, I hold and provide a safe non-judgemental environment where you can develop and mature at your own pace. I like to take an active part in the work we do as I view the therapeutic relationship as a co-creative process.

I believe that as social beings we are wired for connectivity and that we are constantly seeking to connect therefore being seen, felt, understood and supported can be the most powerful relational experience that will create the agent of change. I believe that it is the relationship that heals.

I have a keen interest in the exploration of clients coming from different cultures who are struggling to find their roots and questioning their identity. I see a lot of international people who have been travelling and changing countries and as a result they have developed a loss of identity due their multicultural aspect.

Transpersonal therapy addresses the fundamental question that human beings have asked throughout ages: “who am I?”.

I work with creative imagination and mindfulness to reconnect to our deeper identity within. Transpersonal psychotherapy looks how our life experiences can be seen as an opportunity for growth and re-awakening our true self.

I work with the following issues:

- Emotional issues (depression, anxieties, stress, anger, shame, guilt, fear)
- Life cycles and transition (adolescence, parenthood, mid-life crisis, ageing)
- Relationship with one-self (low self-esteem, self harm, self sabotage)
- Inner child work
- Abuse (emotional, physical, sexual)
- Lack of meaning
- Feeling stuck
- Identity crisis
- Relationship difficulties (family, couple, conflicts, affairs, separation, divorce)
- Trauma
- Grieving

I work both in English and French and fees are available on request.

Training, qualifications & experience

I believe counselling is about giving an individual the ability to grow and develop to their full potential. My role as a therapist is to provide a non-judgmental environment where the client is heard and seen. My aim is to work with the client to create an authentic healing relationship from which they can draw whatever they need. I believe that each individual has within them the ability to move forward, to grow and develop.

Therapy is a liberating process and an opportunity for growth. I find a lot of people have pre-conceived ideas about therapy and think of the therapist as someone who will tell you what to do and that you might become dependent on him. But a good therapist will be there to guide you and reveal aspects of yourself that you didn’t know were there.

Amongst many things, it is about getting to know yourself better and acknowledging that previous experiences don’t have to define who you are today. It is about taking responsibility for oneself and how to act in the world and that we can always rewrite our script. It is a real awakening to life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
