About me
I work with individuals with a range of different mental health and relationship difficulties. I specialise in treating those who have experienced relational trauma. Often the people I work with have long standing difficulties with depression or anxiety. In addition you may also struggle with negative feelings about yourself or others, and may notice certain problematic patterns in your behaviours or relationships. Particularly where there has been previous trauma, you may be struggling with: strong emotions, feeling that you are excelling in some areas of your life, but really struggling in other areas, a sense of feeling like an 'imposter', self destructive or self sabotaging behaviours and so on. My aim is to help you to understand the roots of these difficulties and support you in developing new ways of coping which can improve both your relationships and how you feel.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a chartered clinical psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) & the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have specialist training in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy and am an accredited practitioner with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I also have skills and training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, specialist trauma models, attachment based approaches, CBT, Schema therapy, and brief psychodynamic therapy models. I believe that everybody's life experiences are unique and as such I provided a tailored and integrative approach to suit your individual needs.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
