Catherine Caumont BSc (Hons) MBACP; Counselling and Supervision
Feelings of anxiety and depression are very common today.
We read and hear a lot about 'mental health issues' in the news and on social media, but all of us feel anxious at times. Whether it is a specific issue such as a job interview, or a longer term issue such as relationship difficulties, redundancy or bereavement, everyone faces challenges in life and many people feel isolated and alone in dealing with their problems.
Current news is available 24/7 and it's not always good news ... Social media keeps us connected, but also makes us aware of other peoples' opinions, and we can feel isolated if we don't share the views of others. Feelings of isolation are normal and very common, in my experience.
Whatever is concerning you, talking about problems has been an age-old remedy for feeling the empathy and concern of another person. Talking with a qualified counsellor is confidential and impartial and focuses on your own unique situation.
I offer confidential counselling to individuals and couples and trainee counsellors in Felixstowe, Suffolk and in the centre of Colchester, Essex. It's not necessary to see a GP to be referred to see me; you can contact me directly.
Clinical supervision to counsellors and health professionals appointments also available.
I also offer Academic and Essay-writing support to trainee counsellors, either face-to-face or by telephone/email.
Appointments are available daytime or evening.
