About me

(Free initial consultation if appropriate)

Hello. If you are looking for a counsellor, you are probably struggling in some area of your life at the moment. Do not despair; realising that some part of your life isn’t working for you is the first step to doing something about it. Often life catches us out or catches up with us and we discover that we simply do not have the skills or experience (or sometimes strength) to know how to deal with it.

Having someone to talk things over with really helps - friends and family are not always able to see your point of view even when they have your best interests at heart. So if you have a specific problem such as addiction or a more general one like depression, let’s tackle it together.

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor and a bereavement care volunteer for the national charity Cruse.

Issues covered include:
Lack of confidence; low self-esteem; depression; bereavement; relationship difficulties; anxiety; stress; anger; lack of motivation; compulsive eating or other behaviours; addiction.

Training, qualifications & experience

Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling

Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills

MA Hons Law, BA Hons English Literature.

I am a professional member of the National Hypnotherapy Society and the National Counselling Society. I trained with Chrysalis Not For Profit Limited.

I can also help with career and life coaching and am a Lumina Spark practitioner. Lumina specialises in individualised psychometric portraits for career and self- development purposes.

I like to work from my dedicated studio which is away from distractions and interruptions, a calm, comfortable, neutral space where we can talk and you can just be yourself but I am happy to come to you if you would prefer that or it is difficult to get to me. So if you feel that now is the time to address an issue which is holding you back, please get in touch. Call me for an initial chat in complete confidence and let’s see what we can achieve together.
