About me

Are you falling into the same unhelpful patterns with work or relationships? Are you weighed down by a current dilemma or the impact of past events? Are you struggling with relationships, neglecting your well-being, feeling responsible for others or taking too much on, without knowing how to change things for the better? Do you feel the need to stop and rethink your life or that you’ve lost sight of your own needs and wants?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, I can work with you to help you explore your feelings and what would make you stronger emotionally. We’ll work to understand why you feel like you do and how you might feel more fulfilled or cope better with your life going forward.

No matter what your situation is, counselling is a great place to build a secure sense of self that helps you feel calm and more in control even through the most difficult times.

I’d welcome the opportunity to work with you and offer you a kind, calm and supportive space where I’ll listen with empathy and without judgement. I offer a 15-minute introductory phone call to see if we are a good fit and whether our schedules match. You’re welcome to ask questions during that time. Please reach out and I’ll aim to respond promptly.

You can visit my website at www.moatsidecounselling.co.uk for more information.

Will counselling help?

Counselling can help you at a time when life just feels overwhelming for any reason. You could be feeling sad, stressed, anxious or depressed, be facing an emotionally uncertain time or have relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, be facing loss in addition to many other concerns.

It can really help to talk to somebody outside the emotional attachment of family or friends, who is impartial and trained to listen and help. Counselling can help you rediscover your real self, find coping strategies and help you find a happier life.

How do I work?

I offer face to face sessions in Knowle, Solihull in a quiet and private setting with parking. Alternatively, you may opt for phone or online sessions, offering you the flexibility to tailor your counselling to suit your lifestyle or geographical area.

Please make contact if you think I can help.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
