About me

Hello and Thank you for visiting my site!

If you are reading this then you have reached your first step!

My name is Caroline and I am a Qualified Therapeutic Integrative Counsellor. I am passionate about my job and work hard to help people overcome their problems. I am warm and caring and I believe that counselling can be extremely effective for those of you that are experiencing difficult times. We can sometimes feel very trapped in our lives and feel overwhelmed, angry, sad or frustrated at not being able to change things. Understanding and learning to manage your feelings can help you take back control in your life.

Is life getting you down? Do you feel Lost and Alone?

Are you suffering from Low Self-Esteem, Lack of Confidence, Depression, Low mood, No Motivation, Anxious or maybe you don't even know how you feel? then this is where I can help

I can help you to have an better understanding of the reasons why you feel the way you do. I am aware that counselling can be very daunting in the beginning, so I will do my best to make you feel at ease throughout your counselling journey. People come to counselling for many different reasons. Sometimes life can present us with difficulties that leave us feeling lost, confused and unable to cope, which can make it difficult to see a way forward. Seeking help is not always an easy decison to make. I offer counselling support and can help you by listening and being empathic. I am committed to providing effective Counselling and Psychotherapy in a Safe, Confidential, Respectful and Non-Judgemental environment.

Sometimes it is easier to talk to someone that is not close to you or the situation.

Counselling can help with many issues such as Relationship, Work-related matters, Loneliness, Low self-esteem, Depression, Domestic Abuse, Child Abuse, Illness, Loss and Grief, Berevement, Anxiety and more.

I am a registered member of the BACP (The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). My approach to counselling is based on an Integrative approach. It combines three elements of counselling to help you recognise triggers that may be causing disruptive behaviour. Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT therapy. This type of Counselling empowers you, it can help you to start setting goals and practising new behaviours so that you will be able to move forward with your life. The Integration of the three approaches means therapy can be more tailored to meet a variety of needs and concerns for the you especially those wishing to overcome negative patterns of behaviour due to fears or any other mental health issue that is impacting on your life at this moment in time. Through working together we can explore problems and difficulties and challenge your thinking which can improve your overall wellbeing, this may mean exploring your feelings around current or past issues. I aim to use the best approach in counselling to suit the needs of the client I am working with.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Counselling Skills Certificate Level 3 (ABC)
  • Introduction to Counselling Skills Level 2 (ABC)

I have been working as a volunteer Counsellor at St Luke's Hospice in Winsford, Cheshire supporting clients with loss and grief since 2015. Helping clients to cope with the loss of loved ones and managing life without them. I have also worked with patients with terminal illness giving them support through their final stages of life. I feel very priviledged to be helping clients at the Hospice. It's an honour to be part of their journey where they have been able to share their fears, thoughts and emotions with me.

I also help with the children's monthly bereavement group at the Hospice. (The Phoenix group) This helps to encourage children to be able to talk about the loss of their loved ones through play and creative activities.

I have occasionally helped run a small support group and help with charity events at Survive Abuse in Crewe Cheshire. These are clients that have experienced sexual abuse.

I have also undertaken and successfully passed the Certificate if Proficiency test, which is designed to reflect the competence of my counselling skills and practice. I am also required to have regular monthly supervision to discuss my workload to ensure that I am working to the BACP Ethical Framework. This helps with my training and development and is done confidentially.

Together we can work through the difficulties you are experiencing at the moment. To help you find resilience and coping mechanisms to be able to move forward. It's about building an open, honest and trusting relationship where you feel supported, safe and accepted. I will help you by listening and exploring your feelings and emotions to help find a better way of dealing with your problems. I don't tell you what to do but I try to help you find ways of coping better. It's about finding out what works for you. I believe Counselling can really help you to become more self aware, to accept yourself and make changes with the help and support of a Counsellor. As adults we can make new choices and change things for the better.
