Caroline Phillips BACP Accredited
Choosing the right counsellor can seem daunting. Your distress will be unique to you as will the path you take to deal with your problems. I am a psychodynamic counsellor, which means I help you to understand the origins of your distress by exploring repeating patterns and making links with your present and past life. Through understanding how negative patterns of behaviour have developed you can begin to find ways of making the changes you desire
I am an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I do not judge you, nor advise you but I do support you, sensitively and confidentially, so that you know you are no longer alone with your problems.
The psychodynamic approach also gives special focus to the counselling relationship so that a space is created between us that feels safe and where trust can build. This relationship can also provide insights into the relationships in your everyday life.
I am also a relational therapist and can work with couples as well as individuals from this perspective.
I am on the BACP register of counsellors approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. As such I adhere to an established code of ethics in the work I do with you.
