About me

***Due to Covid-19, I will not be available for face-to-face therapy sessions however have established methods for working via online video conferencing or the telephone. I have also accessed specific training in telephone and video therapy.***

I offer Integrative Psychotherapy using traditional talk therapy with the additional option of including different art forms or somatic approaches exploring bodywork and movement.

I work with a wide range of symptoms and find ways of strengthening a client's ability to cope with life’s stressors. I explore the concept of clients having a tool kit of practices they can take away with them and use whenever there is need.

I recognise we are all individual and what works for one person, may not work for another. This is why my approach to therapy is to work with the client in a way that they feel is comfortable and beneficial to them.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Master’s Degree in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy, which means as well as working as an Integrative Psychotherapist using traditional talk therapy, if a client wishes, we can also incorporate 7 different art forms; visual arts, bodywork, sandtray, modelling, poetry, music, puppetry.

Being integrative, my approach recognises therapy is not ‘one size fits all’. My theoretical background is influenced by Psychodynamic therapy, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychosynthesis and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.

Health and Care Professions Council

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
